Meet Schedule

Many teams will be there from across the state, including perennial powerhouses Chandler and Desert Vista. The Chandler High girls entries to watch are in the 15-16 age group. They have a talented group of freshman girls coming into the program this year. Anna Foreman, Jai Grunewald (who's not on the list of entries), Anaya Bailey, Raven Jordan, Zaire Chest all have the potential to score big points this spring. They have many national Junior Olympic and USATF meets under their belts under the Cheetah Track Club banner. One race to watch with these girls is the 400m. It will be interesting to see how Anna Foreman stacks up with Corona del Sol's Jackie Martin, who was a state finalist in the 400 as a freshman and ran in the 57's last year. Chandler might be a state favorite this year, though Desert Vista will certainly have something to say about that. MileSplit does not have a list of Desert Vista specific athletes at this time. All entries can be viewed here.

The Ultimate High track club does appear to be coming in full force with Vanessa Davis going head to head with Nicki Baker. This should be the first of many clashes this spring on Arizona soil. Shannon Fritz will also factor into the height events. She is provides depth for Desert Vista in the pole vault and is a quality high jumper. Stay tuned to Arizona MileSplit for fill coverage of the meet.

There should be athletes from a variety of states here as well. Nevada, Colorado and possibly more look to send some athletes. From Nevada, a couple names that are noteworthy are Ian Mack from Green Valley who was No. 3 in Nevada in the 400 and Dajour Braxton from Centennial who was the Nevada cross country champ.
