Voorhees Runs 7:59 As Holmdel Twilight 4x8 Rewrites Rankings

What a meet! Voorhees boys go sub-8 in the 4x800m at 7:59.72 NJ#1, Randolph girls run 12:21.06 NJ#2 in the DMR, West Windsor Plainsboro North 10:34.49 NJ#2 for the boys. South Brunswick locked up the NJ#2 spot for the girls 4x8 clocking 9:39.63. In the sprints the Elizabeth boys go NJ#2 in the 4x100m with a 43.25, Christian Brothers Academy NJ#2 3:26.65 in the 4x400m. 

That was just on the track, Meghan O'Malley of Randolph also cleared 5-04 to tie the state lead at the time in the high jump.

Back to that epic boys 4x800m though, you can watch the full seeded heat above, it had everything. Lead changes, battles throughout, fast times, and solid kicks to bring us home. After all the heats settled Holmdel Twilight claimed 17 of the top 20 spots on the boys New Jersey 4x800m rankings

Voorhees led the way with their 7:59.72 NJ#1 performance and now lead both the DMR, 10:21.52, and the 4x800m for the state. Ocean Twp and Toms River North battled to the line running 8:03.85 NJ#2 and 8:05.18 NJ#3. Manasquan won an earlier heat to finish fourth overall now NJ#4 with an 8:05.20.

The girls 4x800m did some damage to the rankings as well with nine times ranked in the top 20. South Brunswick NJ#2 at 9:39.63, Colts Neck utilized a big kick to reach second 9:47.44 NJ#5, and St. Dominic Academy NJ#6 in third at 9:50.57. Watch the girls seeded heat here
