Omohundro & Stupalsky Score Combined 75 Points at States

Two multi-event specialists put on a clinic this Saturday at the VISAA State meet. These two, Elby Omohundro and Will Stupalsky, combined for a staggering 75 points. Elby personally scored 40 while Stupalsky tallied up 34.5 points and was also a part of the FUMA 4x2. 

Competing in multiple events is difficult but actually scoring and winning that many is staggering. These athletes combined for five track races, 24 horizontal jumps, many high jump attempts, many pole vault attempts, and six shot put throws. 

Both athletes were naturally also integral to their teams finishing first and second overall with St. Chris bringing home the trophy this year. 

The biggest storyline though of these performances has to be the fact that Elby was in a car accident this week. Despite being obviously sore from the airbags and collision from a totaled car he was able to will his way to compete Saturday. Without his points St. Chris would not have won the meet.
