This article highlights the results of second-round dual as part of the MileSplitCA March Madness Virtual Meet Tournament. Virtual meets are scored based solely on 2020 results using the standard dual meet scoring points format of 5-3-1 for individuals and 5-0 for relays. Athletes are scored in no more than four events (although the program that processes the meet scores does not have access to individuals in a relay). Teams are limited to three athletes per event. No. 14 Mission Viejo (SS) vs. No. 3 Santa Margarita (SS)

Juniors Kendall Saeger and Lauren Memoly and seniors Sophia Morris and Jessica Elisalde-Rendon helped No. 3 Santa Margarita dominate the distances, sprints and hurdles en route to a second-round victory over No. 14 Mission Viejo in the girls bracket of the MileSplitCA March Madness Virtual Dual Meet Tournament.

Saeger had the fastest times in the 800m, 1600m and 3200m contributing 15 points for the Eagles. Memoly had fast times in the 200m and 400m, was second in the 100m and completed her 16-point contribution with a runner-up spot in the long jump. Morris and Elisalde-Rendon went 1-2 in the 100m hurdles and 2-1 in the 300m hurdles as the Eagles claimed 17 of 18 points in that event. 

Saeger posted state-ranked times before the 2020 outdoor season was suspended, ranking CA No. 4 in the 1600 (4:59.36) and No. 8 for 800m (2:16.29). Memoly's season-best 400m time of 57.26 ranks CA No. 8. 

Junior Sara Pettinger was the top scorer for Mission Viejo, with top marks in both the discus throw and shot put.
