Flashback Friday: Marcus Mckenzie Doubles Up At Home Meet!

Boys 100m Prelims, Heat 23

Last year at the Pine View Invitational, we witness a freshman run one of the top times in the nation for his age in the 100m & 200m events.  That freshman was none other then Pine View's Marcus Mckenzie.  Mckenzie, who is now a sophomore, had a great first year of HS track running his best times at his home meet when he won the 100m in a 10.80 and the 200m in a 22.04.

Boys 200m Finals

Marcus and his twin Dominigue Mckenzie had a great showing out at the Snow Canyon invitational just a few weeks ago before the season was postponed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Dominigue was injured for the beginning of his freshman year which is why he did not race with his brother at thier home meet.  But make no mistake, these two paired with Sherm Jensen and Nicolas Quintero make for one of the fasted sprint squads in the entire state of Utah with none of them being seniors!
