We've had a great start to the season, and we wanted to highlight two athletes who have been on a hot streak this season, with a whole two whole months still left on the track!
First off we have Eleanor Raker (Galena HS) who specializes in the distance races. You might remember her from the FootLocker XC Nationals in December, the only runner from Nevada to qualify in 2024. She currently holds two state leads for this season, one in the 1600m and the other in the 3200m. She's holds P.R's of 4:51.81 and 10:26.80 respectively, both from her sophomore year but she has showed a consistent upward trajectory during this season.]
On the boys side, we have Noah Lara (Desert Oasis HS) who is recognized for his talents in the hurdles. Lara is a senior who just recently laid down two P.R's in both 110m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles this season. He is currently leading the state of Nevada in both events with his 00:14.26 and 00:38.13 in the events mentioned above.
