Austin Ljungquist (Bonanza) ran 11:08.38 in the boys' 3200 meters at the NIAA 4A Desert Region on May 1, improving from his previous best of 11:35.90. The mark places him 140th among 370 Nevada athletes in the event, and he finished 8th of 13 competitors.
Syirah Stubbs (Canyon Springs) clocked 13.26 in the girls' 100 meters at the NIAA 4A Desert Region on May 1, lowering her previous personal record of 13.71 from April 2026. The freshman ranks 128th of 1,640 Nevada athletes and 15th among 518 freshmen statewide, placing 14th of 31 competitors at the meet.
Casen Cox (Pinecrest Academy Cadence) ran 15.79 in the boys' 110-meter hurdles at the NIAA 4A Mountain Region on May 1, breaking his previous best of 16.22 and setting a school record. The senior ranks 17th of 211 Nevada athletes and 7th among 34 seniors, finishing 4th of 10 competitors. Cox also set a personal record in the 300-meter hurdles, running 44.68 to improve from 54.00.
Iscareth Virrueta (Rancho) posted 13:06.33 in the girls' 3200 meters at the NIAA 4A Desert Region on May 1, bettering her previous mark of 13:21.66. She ranks 63rd of 212 Nevada athletes in the event and placed 3rd of 14 competitors.
Payton Howse (Clark) won the girls' 3200 meters at the NIAA 4A Mountain Region on May 1 with a time of 12:15.37, improving from her previous best of 12:30.04 set in April 2026. The freshman ranks 26th of 212 Nevada athletes and 5th among 36 freshmen statewide. Howse also ran a personal record 5:35.27 in the 1600 meters, lowering her previous mark of 5:39.12.
Max Coronado (Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon) clocked 52.17 in the boys' 400 meters at the NIAA 4A Desert Region on May 1, improving from 53.31 set in April 2026. He ranks 88th of 1,462 Nevada athletes and finished 13th of 25 competitors. Coronado also cleared 6-2 in the high jump, bettering his previous best of 6-0.
