Future Stars Spotlight: Rafaella Gibbons Todd Grasley Oct 02, 2014

Rafaella Gibbons came into Winter Park High School as one of the most highly touted incoming freshman in the state as well as the country.  In her first meet in the orange, black, and white Gibbons posted a very impressive time of 18:27.70 to win the Astronaut Invitational. She was second two weeks ago on a challenging Georgia state meet course at the Carrolton Orthapedic Invitational, clocking another sub 19 minute performance of 18:58.23. Already one of the top runners on the 2013 4A runner-up Wildcats, Gibbons is the true definition of a Hoka One One Future Star.

As a middle schooler, Evan competed in the Middle School Mile at Indoor Nationals.  This past weekend, he was the second fastest freshmen from the merge at the McQuaid Invitational.  He has strong aspirations in the Class D Rankings.

Ocala Vanguard freshman Joey Fitzpatrick came into high school highly touted after a very impressive middle school career. Fitzpatrick has lived up to those expectations this fall finishing third or better in his first three meets. His personal best of 15:54.80 at the Spikes & Spurs Classic is the fastest freshman time in the state and currently ranks him eighth nationally for the class of 2018. Future Stars Spotlight: Kayley Delay Todd Grasley Sep 10, 2014

Fletcher High School sophomore Kayley Delay finished 31st at last year's 4A Cross Country Finals and was 71st at the Foot Locker South Regional. After finishing 8th in the 3,200m at the 4A state championship and running a season best of 11:08.28, Delay logged nearly 350 miles this summer combined with cross training and workouts six days a week. This season she is off to a great start, winning her first meet of the year, the University of North Florida 110% XC Invitational, in 18:31.97, the second fastest time in her high school career.

Despite running in a very non-traditional way, for a home-school, Micah is tearing it up out on cross country course.
